Pause
Pause
I don’t want to pause,
I don’t want to slow down.
It feels good to charge ahead each day,
To plunge in!
And swim, and swim, through everything.
I like to sway from one thing to the next.
I like to count on things being there,
As they were,
Yesterday.
I like to power through,
A warm gust pushing on dry orange and yellow leaves,
Forcing them to scatter every which direction.
Summer, winter, hardly noticed.
Then, back on our feet again.
It’s predictable, it’s comfortable,
Inside the circle.
To stretch and stretch,
Eventually comes a break, snap!
And what to do then?
After the spin, the dizziness sets in.
After the queeziness subsides,
There are treasures to be found.
Gently, one by one.
In that new space, that new breath,
Eyes seeing,
What was there,
All along.
